Mr. McMinn is a Consulting Engineer having started Metallurgical Air Safety Investigations, LLC upon retiring from the U.S. Department of Transportation/Defense with 32 years of experience in Forensic Metallurgy, Failure Analysis, Aircraft Accident Investigation, and Aircraft Accident Investigation Training.  Prior to becoming a Metallurgical Engineer and working in the Aviation Industry, he got his start as a Welder and then as a Metallurgical Laboratory Technician in the Oil and Gas Industry and is comfortable working in any industry regarding Metallurgy; be it consulting, failure analysis, or accident investigation.
